If these various corrections were made, the sum total would probably shew a diminution of about 200 men. There are, however, several new companies that are now organizing themselves; and also several of the old that are restoring themselves from a neglected to a prosperous condition. The general result of the whole will probably be to leave our active force, at the opening of the next season, just about what it was at the same time of last year.
