Cinderfella: My Life as a Stay-at-Home Dad

CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, Jun 20, 2010 - Biography & Autobiography - 256 pages
Just months prior to the birth of his first child, Marcus Mastin was laid off from his job when the paper mill he worked at closed its doors forever. With no other mill jobs available, and no other prospects on the horizon, Marcus and his wife discussed their options. The result of their decision is Cinderfella, the true story of one man's journey from blue-collar worker to stay-at-home dad. This first-hand account of his experience delves into such topics as coping with the at-home dad burnout, other people's opinions, how to handle an unruly child, and the lessons he learned along the way. Mastin's book is part memoir, part child-care manual, and part cookbook. In this comical book, you will read how a man with no prior knowledge or training on the care of a child adapts to his new position as a homemaker and learns to survive in a non-traditional parenting role. His evolution from Mr. Independent to Mr. Mom is painfully entertaining, and his stories will touch your heart and make you laugh.
