DEBORAH LOUISE' DOUGLAS, (Bessie T. Pettit, m. Douglas, Deborah McB.,5 m. Pettit, Lewis H.,' Joshua, Lewis, Joshua'), born, Sept. 13th, 1900, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Married: Sept. 1st, 1924, Richard Lodge Tighe, son of Ambrose and Harriet (Gotzian) Tighe of St. Paul,

Deborah L. Douglas received her early education at Stanley Hall, a private school for girls, and at Central High School, Minneapolis, graduating from the latter June, 1917. In the Fall of 1917, she went to Miss Spence's School, New York City, from which she graduated June, 1918, with the College Preparatory division of the class. Immediately following Commencement she took competitive entrance examinations for Vassar College, as application for her admittance had been made after the regular enrollment was full. In the Fall of 1918 she entered Vassar College, and graduated in June, 1922. July 1st, 1922, she and her sister Elizabeth, accompanied by a chaperon, sailed for Europe where they spent the summer and early fall in a general tour visiting England, Scotland, France, Italy, and Switzerland, including regions devastated by the World War.

In the Fall of 1923 Miss Douglas went to New York City and took a position in the Editorial Department of the weekly news-magazine "Time"; she gave up this position the following summer, a few months before her marriage.

After their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Tighe took up temporary residence in Cambridge, Mass., where Mr. Tighe was attending Harvard Law School. Mr. Tighe is a graduate of Yale College, Class of 1923; a member of "Skull and Bones" Society, and Delta Kappa Epsilon. In the Spring of 1925 they returned to Minneapolis, Minn. to live. Mr. Tighe took his B. L. degree at the University of Minnesota and is practicing law with the firm Kingman, Cross, Morely & Kant. (1928)

Mrs. Tighe is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church; is on the Junior Board of the Women's Christian Association; a member of the Women's Club of Minneapolis; the Daughters of American Colonists; and a Life member of the Minneapolis Society of Fine Arts. Married: Sept. 4th, 1926, Donald Charles Cleveland, born, July 10th, 1902, son of Harry Stiles and Nellie Shaw (Robilliard) Cleveland, of Minneapolis, Minn.

Elizabeth P. Douglas attended Stanley Hall, Northrop Collegiate School, and one year at Central High School, Minneapolis, before entering Miss Spence's School in New York City in the Fall of 1917, where she took the full four year course, graduating in June, 1921. She was unanimously elected President of the Senior Class, an especial honor under the conditions for electing class officers at Miss Spence's School. Since her graduation Elizabeth Douglas has given considerable time to the study of piano and has taken special courses at the University of Minnesota. She spent the summers of 1922 and 1924 in Europe. She is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church; of the Woman's Club of Minneapolis; of the Junior League; and Daughters of American Colonists.

Mr. Cleveland attended the University of Minnesota for two years, then entered business. He is a member of the firm H. S. Cleveland & Co., furniture brokers.
